DETECTION
With focus and patience, your wolf has learned to detect magical energy! They can sense when a spell has been cast, within a certain radius of their location, and they can also identify wolves who have high levels of magical ability. They cannot tell what ability a wolf has, but being able to quickly identify a wolf with hidden strength is a useful skill indeed.
TIER RATING
This is a tier one ability.
STAGES

-
STAGE 1: Beginning stage
In it's first stage, the detection ability is difficult to interpret and could easily be confused with an illness. When you are nearby to a wolf who has an ability, you tend to feel tense and cannot explain why. You begin to experience blurred vision when in close proximity to a user of magic, but the connection between your vision and their magic is not obvious.
-
STAGE 2: Intermediate
Acquired by completing three pieces of artwork or roleplay that relate directly to your ability
Your blurred vision seems to cease, but now when you are close by a wolf who has an ability, you seem to see everything through a faint white film. Everything seems ever so slightly desaturated when they are nearby, and those wolves in particular are the only things that look brighter. You seem to get a feeling in your gut that magic is nearby, but cannot focus on the exact source.
-
STAGE 3: Master
Acquired by completing a further three pieces of artwork or roleplay that relate directly to your ability.
Your vision troubles have finally ended, and now wolves with magical abilites appear very clearly to you. You alone see a faint aura around those who hold abilities, and when out of sight, you can still sense if a wolf with an ability is approaching. The aura around a wolf is brighter the more powerful an ability they wield (OOC, this is judged by the tiers, a tier 3 ability would glow brighter than a tier 1). Finally, in stage 3 you are also able to sense if magic has recently been activated nearby - you seem to be able to smell it on the air.
OVERALL RESTRICTIONS
This ability is completely passive. The user cannot active or deactivate it.

Detection only alerts the user to the presence of magic. The detector cannot identify exactly what ability the individual has, only that they have one.

In stages 1 and 2, the detector must be within sight of the individual in order for the activity to activate. In stage 3, the ability remains constantly passive, and the detector will be able to sense magical individuals over a certain range before they come into sight. The range should be realistic - for arguments sake, if they're too far away to catch the scent, they're too far away to activate the detection. A Tundes detector would not be constantly detecting Kol magic users and vice versa.
